Spurs crumble to defeat…

Cesc Fabregas (right) and Robin van Persie celebrate

There have been high hopes and a growing feeling that Spurs might have turned that proverbial corner with regards to having a decent season. But as has been the case over countless years they usually come up short when facing a TOP FOUR side. It’s at times like these that those incredulous football quotes get dusted off and come out in full view of all and sundry.

It was a game of two halves (well almost spurs crumbled on 42 minutes of the first half), which I guess left them feeling gutted, sick as a parrot etc. Oh yeah, and no doubt they’ll get lots of stick for their pathetic performance. On the positive side, it’s only a game and they’ll be chomping at the bit to put things right in their next game. Besides,  the football season is decided over 38 games – so don’t read too much into this result! However, the table never lies so let’s hear it for the SPURS – all is not lost!

The glory days were not so long ago…
